Goddamn I read a lot of fandoms this year.
Galaxy Quest - Just Doing His Part For Morale - in which Fred makes sure everything runs smoothly. First Galaxy Quest fic I've ever read, and Fred and Laliari are so cute together. <3
Wooster and Jeeves - Bertram and Bunnies - once again, Jeeves is called in to help his master with a problem, luckily this time at least it is confined to the bedroom.
Boston Legal - The Conditional Tense - Alan goes a bit meta, has a fight with Denny, and makes it up. No slash, but they're an amazing couple.
-------------
Lamplight - Bernard reads a certain book and begins to emulate a certain character. Manny is not impressed.
A Matter of Perspective - Bernard and Manny finally admit their love, and nothing changes.
The Quiz - Fran takes a quiz in a trashy magazine to find out if Bernard and Manny are 'doing it' behind her back.
------------
The Gravedigger - the Hound dies, but there's a new gravedigger at the convent.
Strange Language - backstory of Missandei, Daenerys' translater, makes me want to learn languages again.
The Naming of Direwolves - Stark puppies and direwolf puppies are equally adorable.
Snow and Stark - Robb and Jon have a fun day in the snow, and they steal a pie! Sibling-fic of the best sort.
The King's Hand - Stannis and Davos, the other King and King's Hand.
Due Honors - Davos tries to cheer Stannis up when he doesn't get enough credit for putting down the Greyjoy rebellion.
I'm a Killer, Cold and Wrathful - on the way to the Wall, Sandor teaches Arya the first rule of fighting.
Promenade in Stark - Westeros highschool AU. Robb, Jon and Theon go to prom, Sansa envies them, and Bran still likes climbing trees.
The Spider's Web - Varys has his own advice column and will give words of wisdom to anyone who asks. The best sort of crack.
----------
It Takes A Graveyard - Silas goes on first errand for Bod, namely, shopping.
And They're There For You - Bod, Silas and Miss Lupescu have a family picnic, of sorts.
No Monster Nor Stranger - crossover with Greek mythology; Silas needs some advice and his adviser needs Silas' help.
--------
The Path of Thorns - once upon a time, the stories didn't end how they were expected. I got strong Arya Stark vibes.
Lord Wolfe and the Ape-Leader - an epic retelling of Beauty and the Beast the way Jane Austen might have written it. Seriously, just go and look at the tags!
Thirteen Ways Of Looking At A Duckling - The Ugly Duckling is the story of an adopted girl's life, and she has some issues with it.
Beleza and the B.E.A.S.T - Beauty and the Beast as a space opera, plus femmeslash.
-----------
and the beast never seen - Celegorm and Curufin plot their next move on Doriath, and Caranthir doesn't stop them. I want to point everyone who writes the Feanorians as merely misunderstood towards this - they're not woobies and they'll have no qualms about putting a sword through you if you annoy them enough.
When We Were Young - Fingolfin's family in happier days. Tiny!Aredhel, young!Turgon and Teenager!Fingon are already growing into their adult personalities.
Her Eyes - modern AU, Aegnor and Andreth meet again.
Lies, Lies, Lies - while still in Valinor, Galadriel and Celegorm start to see each other as more than cousins, and it ends about as well as you'd think.
The Original Seven Were Lost - in which Doriath has to put up not only with the sons of Feanor, but a zombie invasion too.
Galaxy Quest - Just Doing His Part For Morale - in which Fred makes sure everything runs smoothly. First Galaxy Quest fic I've ever read, and Fred and Laliari are so cute together. <3

Date: 2010-01-29 06:57 am (UTC)So much love.
And heeee, yes, that is the thing about Feanorians. I mean, they are misunderstood to some degree- in that they aren't cackling villains Disney style. But they're homicidal crazies to a one, and don't you forget it. XD

Date: 2010-01-29 10:44 am (UTC)I think Feanor and probably Curufin and Celegorm at least would enjoy being a Disney villain because they would get the best songs, except since Morgoth is the actual villain they would be reduced to comic relief villains, which would be awful.

Date: 2010-01-29 03:56 pm (UTC)no, noooo comic relief villains. D: XD And this is true, they would get awesome songs. I suppose my issue is when they are painted as just baaaad where what I was trying to do, anyway, was show that yes, they're reprehensible, but at least in their own heads they have (somewhat) logical reasons for what they do.
...maybe I'm not making sense. DX

Date: 2010-01-30 02:23 am (UTC)Trying to work out what crime shows the rest of the Stark kids watch. Jon watches Law and Order. Theon watches something extremely dark and graphic, not sure what yet. Arya watches CSI. Sansa doesn't like crime shows but she still watches Ghost Whisperer. XD
