Number-crunching
May. 26th, 2008 06:52 pmPedometers are FUN! We got one in the packet from the latest cereal box, and I took it for a spin on my evening walk today.
Number of steps taken: 4769 (which is well below the 10 000 reccommended, but also way above my guess, ie. about 3000)
One of my steps: 0.78m
4769/0.78 = 3720m = 3.72km
This is very cool. I thought my walks were 2km at most.
Upon further thought:
I try to go walking every day, but other things happen sometimes. Let's say I go walking 6 days a week.
6/7 of 365 = 313 days
313 x 3.72 = 1164km.

Dude. I could walk to Brisbane in a year.
*glee*
And now I'm going to study for Latin.
