 I've been polishing coins this morning. The Christmas trip to Adelaide yielded not only a swag of presents, but a box of old coins from my grandparents. I can't resist shiny things. Clearly, my family knows me too well. My brother and I spent one interesting afternoon examining all of them. We've found ones from the US, France, the UK, Russia, Thailand, Greece, Fiji, Singapore and lots of other places. One of the best things was an old centime. I don't know my French history that well, but I know that's old.

My favourite ones, however, are the Irish coins. They have fish, and bulls, and pigs, and horses, and chickens on them. I am going to go and live in this amazingly awesome country as soon as possible. :D
