Ooh, I had not considered that but it makes sense from Caranthir's POV - the humans are all going to die eventually, aren't they? And I had not thought of Haleth thinking of that but now I'm sure she did, I thought more that she wasn't going to accept help from someone who showed up far too late to help when it mattered.
