Went shopping today - for jobs, for christmas, for clothes. As is usually the case, I managed to get one-and-a-half things done out of the three, and I went op-shopping instead. Now I have a pretty bracelet. It's a bit too big for my wrist and it slips off easily, but it's got flowers on the outside and deep blue on the inside, and it's metal so it won't heat up in summer.

And then I got caught in a bout of summer rain as I was walking home, and it was all lovely. Here ends the useless information of the day. :)

Strange thing is, I was going to do stuff with publishing and editing before I decided that rocks were more fun. Geologist and archaeologist come in at 36 and 37 respectively, so I guess I'm not too far off.

(But number 17? Activist?! This thing is clearly flawed.)
Happy days!

Yesterday, Dad came home and told us he'd bought a house. (Technically a unit.) It's about five minutes' walk from the train station and I can almost see my current house from its street. Squee! We officially get it on November 23, two days after my exams finish! So I can happily peel wallpaper off the walls and not think about anything intellectual.

The place I applied for a summer job called me, albeit my phone wasn't on at the time. They want me to come in for an interview in the holidays! So I might actually have a summer job this year. :D
