Neil Gaiman picspam!

Firstly, a picture of the man himself. Pic is slightly blurry, which I blame on squee. I went along with [profile] cat_empress and two uni friends, and we had a marvellous time. Neil was slightly late because the taxi driver took him to Flinders Street Station, not the State Library of Victoria. This less than a week after the drivers were protesting in front of Flinders Street. I found it highly amusing.

Neil then shows us a brief glimpse of his true form, ie. otherworldly red-eyed lemur. I stopped taking flash photos after this, as I did not want to go down in history as The Woman Who Blinded Neil Gaiman And Was Subsequently Lynched By Her Fellow Audience Members.

This is his newest book, which he calls the Jungle Book except with a graveyard instead of a jungle. He read out part of chapter 4 and I thought that I was recording it, but admittedly I have no idea how to work my camera's movie function and so only got the last 3 and a half minutes of it. I'd upload it, but it's too big for photobucket and I have no idea how to resize it. *cursing and muttering*

[profile] cat_empress (in possession of a most marvellous hat) and Neil, booksigning. Take note of all the pens he went through.

Neil and I, booksigning. I am not photogenic at the best of times, and I look slightly stoned in another photo taken just before. I managed to not lose my ability to speak entirely and asked him about cats or something. At least I talked. :D

And finally, my signed copies of Anansi Boys on the right and Good Omens on the left. They're currently snuggling together on my bookshelf, sandwiched between my Discworld books.

WHY DID HE WANT YOU TO BURN GOOD OMENS!? D: D: D:

*ahem* Sorry for the capslock of Doom. *shifty*

So, so, so amazing! ^__^

I assumed that it was Crowley being mischievous. :D

They're actually quite good photos of Neil. The second one is the best though.

It appears that my camera is either broken, or I have no clue how to use it, because when I got home I was taking photos of random stuff and nothing came out properly. Eh. Hopefully I will be allowed to get a new one soon.

I'm glad you managed to get a picture of me, and that you loved my hat so much!
