I'd like to say it's War and Peace, or some giant Russian book, but it's Fellowship of the Ring.

Honestly, I just haven't been reading much lately. I'll read a few pages before I go to sleep at night, but that's it. I've got to get back into gear. Granted, last year I started the year off with fairly short books, and I wasn't doing university courses at home, but still.

I think I'm going to make a list of books I want to read this year. A lot of them will be re-reads. I'm just not committed enough to try 50 new books in one year, and I would miss the books I've already read that I want to read again. But I'm going to try to include a lot of new books on the list, because I really need to expand my... literary scope.

Well, I'm still on holidays, so I've got a lot of time to fill. If I'd tried to read JS&MN during uni I never would have made it. I started doing this after I realised that I was constantly re-reading a small circle of books.

*snort* - This would be a terrible idea for me. I have a bad enough addiction to books already :P

Currently on The Knights of Black and White by Jack Whyte - terribly anachronistic dialogue in which the author lectures on his interpretation of early church history... cannot say I'd recommend it so far :/ But hey - it's got words in it, and sometimes that's enough ;P

Well, I challenged myself to read fifty new books this year after I realised that I was reading the same ones over and over. I can practically recite Terry Pratchett's Night Watch books.
