Valentine's Day, and the presentation of the Project!
In which I am a Horrible Person, and there are cupcakes.

What's this? A box, on Valentine's Day? For me? How exiting!

I'm afraid I don't quite understand. Cupcakes and superpink icing are certainly to be expected, but why the letters? V-A-N-P-Y-E? Did somebody think it was Vampire Day*? And are those... pieces of lego?

Apparently so, but I'm still not convinced that there hasn't been a mix-up in V-related holidays...

Oh! Of course! How... er... thoughtful.

And they look lovely... at least from this angle.
*beat*
Is it time for Easter yet?

NOTES
Last year on Valentine's, I made a post about how I'd be much more enthusiastic about it if we celebrated it the traditional way. And this year I decided to make good on that idea. Converting one person at a time, we will surely prevail!
I think I've made the pinkest icing in recorded history.
Cupcakes turned out all right but to me they taste very sweet (overly saccharine on Valentine's! It's as if I planned it this way!) and not chocolatey enough. Still, they baked with flat tops which made the icing easy. I got the recipe from Joy the Baker if you want to try it.
And lastly, before you castigate me completely as a horrible person... I did make a heart cupcake:

The icing dribbled over the sides and from the looks of things I've made an emo Valentine's cupcake, but still!
No really. I love love, I've got nothing against it... but saints matyred by Romans need their day in the limelight too. XD
*Aka Vampire Celebration Day (or Squee Over Superfast Humanoid Mosquito Day to the rest of us), a celebration which does not exist but probably will soon.
