Something I found in my WIP folder:

 

·         Fingon thinks they should try LARPING a Star Trek episode and it all goes to hell

·        
Mae - cannot believe he agreed to play Kirk and spends the whole time headdesking or announcing that he’s been captured/knocked out/interrogated by the Starfleet brass/has to go and do paperwork

·        

Cleeg - cannot believe he does NOT get to be Kirk because come on, he is Kirk, and so called dibs on being Spock to annoy Fin

o   And also giving advice out of the blue like YOU SHOULD PUT A CAP IN THEIR ASS OR YOU SHOULD TOTALLY TAP THAT CAPTAIN, THAT’S FUCKING LOGICAL

o   And whenever Fin gets annoyed he’s always all ‘logical!’; end of discussion

o   And he keeps trying to seduce Ar on the bridge, being all ‘so we totally hooked up in the movie and it’s logical and shit’

·        

Ar - is terrible at translating messages but very good at wearing a short skirt so she gets to be Uhura

o   Also totally fine with making out with Cleeg on the bridge

o   And announces things like MESSAGE FROM STARFLEET CAPTAIN, I AM NOT WEARING UNDERWEAR TODAY

Galadriel = Sulu!

o   Is happy because hello she gets to drive the fucking ENTERPRISE and keeps alien plants in her room and gets into sword fights

·        

Angrod = Chekov

o   Accidentally seduces half the crew

o   Keeps finding excuses to go down to Engineering and coo over the engines

·        

Caranthir - called dibs on Scotty so he can stay in Engineering and swear and throw things and nobody would know it, except these IDIOTS keep making him come up to the bridge or they want the ship to go to fucking warp 11 when one of the nascelles isn’t working

o   And on top of all that Angrod keeps coming down and pestering him and wanting to poke at the machines and he’s all NO MINE YOU’LL BREAK THEM except Ang looks very pretty running his long slender hands over the tubes and he gets grease smudged on his cheek

o   And he can brew alcohol down there after all

Which leaves Fin as McCoy and he really wanted to be Spock and he’d practiced the single eyebrow raising and everything!

o   Although at least being McCoy he can yell at Cleeg and claim it’s to be in character

o   Can also give Mae lots of soothing hyposprays

·        

The kids:

o   Idril = Rand

§  She is Rand already and basically runs the ship through her frighteningly unscrupulous use of paperwork to get them to behave

§  She’ll change the locks on their doors if they don’t do what she says, or she’ll be all SORRY CELEGORM YOU DIDN’T FILL OUT FORM 234b SO NOW YOU’RE TECHNICALLY CLASSIFIED AS A PLANT

o   Gil = Chapel

§  Is the one who actually treats any patients they get because Fin is always on the bridge yelling at Cleeg

§  But is happy because he gets to make people better and be the shining image of Starfleet to any new civilisations they meet

o   Mae = someone from Engineering, is happy tinkering with things and can take Caranthir swearing and throwing things at him occasionally because at least he’s not on the bridge having to watch his mother making out with her cousin and they’re not even mind-controlled this time!

§  Although he finds excuses to sneak up there anyway and studies the paperwork in depth so he can find errors that Idril can help him sort out, alone, in his quarters, with candles?

§  Except somehow the smoke alarm goes off or Mae gets burning wax on his arm or something so Gil ends up fixing him while Idril tells him not to worry and that she’ll sort it out herself, and it ends up with Mae and Gil watching holovids together

So what you should take away from this is that I have not got over the novelty of Maeglin/Gil-Galad, that Idril probably spends most of her time off hanging out with Galadriel because she is her most sensible relation, and Mae never, ever gets a break.
