Dear diary, today there was enough mist to make me think that I had landed in the Dagobah system.
Anyone wanna rec me some anime? I've got Cowboy Bebop and one about crazy mermaids waiting on my computer right now, and I'm interested in Tsubasa Resevoir. (And having nostalgic feelings about Cardcaptor Sakura, gods help me.)
Life is crazy and busy and stuff, but I get by (with help from reading my flist).

Ummm... Ghost in the Shell (the ones I've seen so far) are good, if you haven't already seen them.
Series: Samurai Seven!!! Love it! Wish I had the money to buy it! Wolf's Rain is also good.
Edited to add: I'd love to know what you think of Cowboy Bebop since it's one I've heard good things about but just general reviews, not someone on my flist's opinion.

Still, what I really know about enough to make recs is Japanese live series and historical/fantasy movies. Anime not so much. Loved Sailormoon in the distant past, and I still like RK, PMK, Princess Mononoke and everything Tezuka, and that´s pretty much it.
Then again, many lives and movies I´ve enjoyed have anime counterparts, like Shinobi/Basilisk, Nodame Cantabile, G.T.O., Death Note or Onmyoji. (And Dororo, though that´s so old that I wish you luck finding it). I just find it more difficult to get into a story in anime mode than in real life mode, but for whoever anime is the right piece of cake it will probably be just as enjoyable, or more.

If you like Bebop, Samurai Champloo is worth a look too. Oh, and my friend is hanging over my shoulder and says I should rec you Death Note too. Haven't seen it yet but I hear very good things about it.
If you're looking for anime films, I'd suggest more or less anything by Miyazaki. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are probably the most well known, but all of his films are fantastic. Although if you see Grave of the Fireflies, be prepared to be depressed. I'm going to shut up now, I'm rambling a bit to avoid studying.

I also like Ouran High Host Club, which is very pink, and very girly.

I love Miyazaki, although I haven't seen any of those films. My primary school did Japanese and we got to watch My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service. I saw Howl's Moving Castle at christmas a couple of years ago and it sparked my renewed interest in anime. Even if it was very different from the book.
